Edmundo: The shot with the coffee coated lemon

Ingredients: (Makes 1 jigger)

  • 50ml chilled Gin but  Bombay Sapphire works well with this
  • A lemon wedge
  • Ground coffee
  • Sugar(brown sugar will do)

Procedure:

1. Pour the gin into a chilled shot glass.

2. Coat the lemon wedge with the ground coffee and sugar.

The trick to drink this shot: Bite the lemon and pour the gin into your mouth. Swill all the ingredients and swallow.

*You may want to have a beer chaser with this shot to sluice with after.Coffee grains get stuck between the teeth so watch out!!

Enjoy!

Mojito: The mint drink with a kick!

Hi guys! This is one of my favorite drinks 'the Mojito'.
Making it is fairly simple but very delicious!

Ingredients: (Makes 1 pitcher)

  • Handful of mint leaves
  • 1/2 cup of ice
  • 1 cup syrup/sugar
  • 1 cup light rum
  • club soda, 7-Up or Sprite
  • 3 Limes
  • 1/2 cup Rose lime  or Island lime juice

To make a delicious mojito you need to get the mix right!

Procedure:

For the mixture

1. Chop the mint leaves.

2. Get the juice of the 3 limes.

3. Then put the 1/2 cup of ice, chopped mint leaves and the lime juice  in a tumbler then crush or muddle the ingredients.

  • Or if you have a blender or food processor just put the mint leaves, the juice of the 3 limes and the 1/2 cup of ice and just make the food processor/blender do all the work :)

Now that your done with the mixture lets move on to the second part of the drink.

In a pitcher mix the following:

  • the mixture that you made earlier.
  • 1 cup of syrup/sugar
  • 1 cup of light rum(just put more if you want it stronger)
  • 1/2 cup Rose lime or Island lime juice
  • Then just top it of with club soda/7-up or sprite

 Enjoy your drink!
